There is a particular kind of joy that comes from watching something you love grow. When I founded Neshamah, I dreamed of a Jewish community where learning felt warm, personal, and open to everyone, no matter where they live. Today, I am thrilled to share that our education program is growing, and so is the circle of wonderful people who make it happen.
Expanding Online Jewish Education
More and more families are discovering that meaningful Jewish learning doesn’t depend on a zip code. Children from across South Florida and around the world are joining our online classes, learning Hebrew, exploring Torah, and building real relationships with their teachers through the screen.
To meet that growing demand, we are welcoming new teachers to our faculty. Each one brings a love of Jewish learning and a gift for connecting with children, which is exactly what our students deserve. Whether your child learns with us in person or online, they will find teachers who know their name, celebrate their progress, and make Judaism feel like something joyful and their own.
Let’s Dance! A Weekly Music and Dance Party with Ms. Mads
I am especially excited to introduce Ms. Mads, who is bringing something brand new to Neshamah: a weekly music and dance party!
Judaism has always been a tradition of song and movement. Miriam picked up her timbrel and danced at the sea. King David danced with all his might. Our children learn prayers more deeply when they can sing them, and they feel Jewish joy most fully when they can move with it. Ms. Mads brings energy, warmth, and plenty of fun, and I can’t wait to see our students singing, clapping, and dancing their way into a deeper love of Jewish life each week.
Welcome Home, Ms. Rachel
Some welcomes are also reunions. I am overjoyed to welcome back Ms. Rachel, who returns to our teaching team after spending the past few years focusing on her young children.
Ms. Rachel was always a beloved presence in our classrooms, and so many of our families have asked about her over the years. Now she comes back to us not only as a gifted educator but with the wisdom that only comes from raising little ones of her own. In Jewish tradition, parents are a child’s first teachers, and Ms. Rachel knows that role from the inside. Our students are lucky to have her, and so am I.
A Growing Team, A Growing Community
Every new teacher who joins us is a sign of something beautiful: more children learning, more families connecting, and more Jewish joy being passed from generation to generation. I am delighted to welcome Ms. Mads, our new online teachers, and Ms. Rachel to our expanding staff. Together, along with our dedicated faculty, they will help our students discover that being Jewish is something to celebrate every single day.
If you have been thinking about Hebrew school or Jewish learning for your child, in person in Boca Raton or online from anywhere, there has never been a better time to join us.
Everything at Neshamah starts with a conversation. Reach out at info@niboca.org or (561) 368-1199, and let’s talk about what learning could look like for your family.
